I have an upper second class BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a PhD (Children’s food preferences: a behavioural analysis) from Bangor University. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with staff or students who want to conduct systematic reviews in any topic area. I also provide supervision to PGr students from the Liverpool Dental School who include systematic reviews as part of their DDSc theses. The Epilepsy Group has successfully competed for two NIHR Cochrane Programme grants and I have taken lead roles in supporting the successful completion of the contracted workplans. My major contribution to the Cochrane Collaboration is via LRiG’s collaboration with the Epilepsy Group. I am experienced in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property.
I publish Cochrane Reviews with several Cochrane Groups, the Epilepsy Group, the Lung Cancer Group Heart Group, and the Anaesthesia Groups. I am a senior associate in our intellectual property team in Hong Kong. The topic areas are diverse, but broadly speaking include lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, melanoma and cardiology. With two previous books of poems already published, young and talented Janette Voski has set herself a challenging task, to write 24 pieces-one for each. Since joining LRiG in 2006, I have led on, or contributed to, more than 40 reviews for NICE and the NIHR. LRiG’s work for NICE and the NIHR informs national NHS policy. LRiG is contracted to conduct systematic reviews of the clinical and cost effectiveness of health care technologies for the National Institute for Care Excellence (NICE) and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). My post with LRiG is funded from a Department of Health grant that is awarded (through competition) every 5 years. My research expertise is in systematic reviewing and health technology assessment. There are more than 25 alternatives to Talon for Twitter for a variety of platforms, including Android, iPhone.
